My time as an intern at Collabware has been amazing. The team and work environment are unbeatable! I’ve never worked with such a friendly and exceptional group of people. The small team and rapid development schedule mean your work is significant and visible.
Additionally, you find yourself working closely with people on all aspects of the project, which makes for an eclectic understanding of the work, and the ability to easily inquire about anything with the person who knows best. As for the workplace, it is a bright cleanly-designed modern office in downtown Vancouver with floor to ceiling windows, beer on tap, an arcade machine, a fridge and drawers full of snacks, a complete in-building gym, and the list goes on! The kitchen area is often host to celebrations (for honestly any reason you can think of) and the work environment ranges from relaxed to excited-expeditious, with the latter being the weeks leading up to a deadline.
The team atmosphere at Collabware is throughout the whole office. Not only are your coworkers extremely knowledgeable and proficient in their fields; they are all helpful and friendly, which is invaluable in streamlining the project development cycle. Collabware truly does everything they can to accommodate your needs, and to ensure that you are completely comfortable, from food to computer equipment. There really is no better place to work in Vancouver’s tech industry, and I’m going to miss working here when I return to school.
